Where the name began

My name is Anderson Sueishi. I was born in Brazil, the son of Japanese parents. That duality has shaped everything I do.

Growing up between two cultures taught me to see the world differently. From Japan, I inherited a reverence for precision, for patience, for the belief that every detail carries meaning. From Brazil, I absorbed something wilder, as the richness of the land, the rawness of natural materials, the warmth of craft made by hand.

Long before Stoneveil existed, I was already paying attention to details that most people walk past. In my work in Brazil, across construction, renovation, and high-end finishing, I was never satisfied with 'good enough.' I studied how materials aged, how surfaces responded to light, how a single well-chosen element could transform an entire space.

It was in that work that I first encountered natural stone; not as a material, but as a presence. Something that carried time inside it. Something permanent in a world of disposable things.

In 2022, I began a new chapter in the United States. And it was here, moving through high-end residences and hospitality spaces, that I kept seeing the same thing: imported stone pieces, mass produced, with no origin and no story. Beautiful on the surface. Empty underneath.

That gap became Stoneveil Atelier.

Our mission is to reveal the essence of stone through hand-sculpted pieces, where every curve respects the identity that nature created over millions of years. We do not produce at scale. We dedicate time, precision and care to each creation, so that every piece is as unique as the story of the person who chooses it.

At Stoneveil, every vein, every texture, every tone is part of an unrepeatable work. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike. That is not a limitation. It is the point.
